Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to discuss how I survived a long weekend trip with just a carry on bag! This was a huge step for me because I had to completely limit what I was packing.
Usually I pack everything that I could possibly need for any scenario that might happen! It stresses me out if something comes up. If I don’t have a certain thing that could have been used in that situation but I didn’t need a lot of items as I was only going for four days.
I wasn’t spending money to bring a bag that wouldn’t have been filled up to 20kg even though I probably could have packed many unnecessary items.
Travelling with a carry on bag is easy
A carry on bag is so much easier to fly with than going through the hassle of being in long queues wanting to check in your bag. It’s so much easier to just go straight through security and wait for your departure gate.
Then get off the plane and go straight through immigration and you are free to travel your new city. It’s simple! I couldn’t believe how easy it was compared to waiting for my checked bag to come through on the luggage carousel! I was so surprised.
Carry on bags are free to take on the flight when you book your ticket. Additional baggage for example is charged depending on the weight and are checked in through the airport. It’s really cheap
Great for short trips. Practical for long trips.
Heading away for a weekend? Packing a carry on bag is the ideal way to do it because it’s practical and prevents overpacking. The only problem is you have to be realistic and also very organised to be living out of a small bag.
If you’re anything like me you’ll struggle with this but if you’re like my boyfriend you can pack your whole life in one bag and travel for months on end! I honestly have no clue how he can do that.
Word of advice! Make sure you are aware of the cabin bag policies each airline has because they can have different policies depending on weight, size and any other requirements they have.
