When I got the email for the thrive company asking me to review their app I was really excited. I like trying new ways oh how I can manage and help myself deal with my depression and anxiety. When I downloaded the app and begun to work my way through the app figuring out how to use it, I was pleasantly surprised. This app has so many features such as
- Track your mood quiz
- Calm Breathing
Deep slow breathing is a really important technique that is added to various relaxation exercises. Three minutes 3 times a day have been shown to have long-term advantages.
In the section of the app, there are many meditation sessions that you can take part in from aroma, awareness and the self, mindful body scan, compassion, meditation, mindful earth, mindful seeing, mindful walk, soundscape and a short meditation.
- Deep Muscle Relaxation
Tensing and relaxing your muscles relaxes your body which, which in turn relaxes your mind.
Self-suggestion allows you to link a word or phrase with the experience of feeling calm. You can then use the word in a stressful situation to bring you back to that relaxed state.

When we are feeling down or worried we ten to focus on the negative things that have happened and ignore the positive ones. This is a fun word game that you can play as a distraction if you are in a bad mood or anxious. It also helps you to look at the positive and trains your brain to do so in touch situations.

Send a message of encouragement to others and help them achieve their goals. You’ll feel better for it and so will you.

I haven’t been able to use this app as much as I would have liked to in the past month but from what I have experienced I really liked it. This is a great app for you to try if you struggle with your mental health and to try and help you control and ease the struggle.
I can’t wait to sit down and get more involved with using this app in my free time and learn how to properly manage my depression and anxiety.
