Blogging can take up a lot of time and sometimes it’s impossible to be able to sit for hours on end with a laptop and get your blog work done. Now that I am working 4-5 days of the week I am very rarely home to get my blog work done so I spend a lot more time blogging through my phone. Although it’s a bit more difficult on a phone it can be done. There are many apps I use to help me blog on the go.
This app I use all the time when I am on the go. When I have some free time I always write a few points about what I want to write so I know what direction I want to take when I am out and about and have some time I can just open Google Docs and type up a blog post. It is really handy to have on your phone because you can be on the bus or the train going home and you can easily just sit and type some words, sentences or paragraphs.
In the mornings, when I am travelling to work I always write a paragraph or two of a blog post I am working on. Having your phone is so so handy because you can do so much stuff fro your blog on the phone.
I use MailChimp as my email service provider to my email list. With the MailChimp app, you can create a campaign to send to your subscribers with exclusive content, updates and so much more while being out and just having your phone. So if I forget to send out an email on my usual days and I’m not close to my laptop I don’t have to worry about not sending one of my regular emails.
I can reply to comments, check my statistics, schedule blog posts, read, comment and share other peoples blog post on my social media to give support to the amazing community that I am a part of. It’s very easy to stay connected with your blog while you are out and busy.
This app helps me schedule my social media updates to post on my Twitter, Facebook pages and it also reminds me to upload my post on my Instagram page so I don’t forget when I am out busy. Although it takes time to schedule your social media posts it is well worth the hour or two that you put in every single week or month. It all depends on you and what method works the best for you.
I think we have all had that heart-sinking moment when we are busy and we have forgotten to make a Pinterest graphic for your latest post or you have forgotten to update your logo or a new graphic you have been needing for your social media.
Don’t worry! Canva has got you covered with their app that you can download from the app store. It’s one of the handiest apps that I have on my phone so while I’m out I can quickly put a design together and upload it to wherever that I need it at that time.
This app is crucial if you want to make your blog successful. Having google analytics tells you all about what sort of readers are coming to your blog, how many people are finding your blog, how they are finding your blog whether it be social media or google and so much more. I always like to check my analytics every week or so to check how well my blog is doing at the time.
It’s very important to make sure you keep an eye on the analytics to see what is working and what isn’t. This can be helpful to have a quick look at when you are on your work break and do a little bit of rethinking and replanning if that is needed. You don’t need to use this app daily but it is handy to have on your phone for a quick look and reference.
