Communication is a huge part of any relationship but in a long distance relationship, it’s crucial to surviving. Long distance relationships are hard. There is a lot that is needed to survive your long distance relationship. Communication is key and today I am going to discuss apps to help you survive your long distance relationship.

Social Media

Any social media platform is good to stay in contact with your loved one whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. You can message, video chat, call and so much more. It’s one of the best ways to stay connected with your loved ones.

Skype

Skype is an excellent way to video chat with your loved one. I really love skyping with Ryan. Every morning we make sure we get at least a half hour skype call in before I get up and Ryan goes to sleep. It really is the highlight of my day and it starts my day off with lots of smiling and a ton of laughter.

You don’t need to have Skype nowadays there are so many other apps that do video calling nowadays so find one that works for you and your partner.

Couple

This is a private app that was created for you and your loved to have communication with yourselves. I used to have this app with a previous boyfriend of mine. There are many features in couple that are quite unique for example thumb kiss. This is where you and your partner connect your thumbs on the screen and it vibrates when your thumbs connect.

You can create lists, plans, dates and meetups through the app too. It’s a nice, little unique touch that you can add to your relationship while you are apart.

Rabbit

In a previous post, I discussed date ideas for your long distance relationship and talked about using Rabbit to spend time with your loved by watching movies, tv series or YouTube videos together while video chatting at the same time.

Although Ryan and I haven’t been able to watch movies together due to our crazy time difference it’s a great way to connect and spend time with your loved one.

What apps do you use that help you survive your long distance relationship?

With Love,
