We have grown up in a world where people just tear one another down. It;s really sad that this is what we have become accustomed to. We are almost always at someones throat unless you are completely chill like my boyfriend! But I have found that women are ALWAYS fighting with someone. When women argue it lasts forever. No one can hold a grudge better than an angry women. Rumours get spread, petty things are said and done. This shoukd not be happening! We should be empowering each other! We should be empowering women not tearing one another down.
How we can start empowering women
Help each other
Helping each other can be so so simple! Many people reading this are most likely bloggers so this idea could be for you! Simply retweeting. Sharing or even just popping a quick but thoughtful comment under their newest post. Even if you’re not a blogger that could truly make someones day and empower them to continue with their blog or writing. Some other things that you could do is reach out to someone whether it’s in work or even at home and just help them out with something that they are struggling with. Being helpful is so empowering to women! Men may not take it the same way because they are the macho men who can do everything! (kidding!).
This links with the above point, providing support or even just etting them know that you are there for them whenever they need the support. This helps them feel less alone and have someone by their side. When I have my boyfriend by my side providing his support I fee so empowered. I feel like I am on top of the world and can take anything on because he was by my side.
Have you ever had someone be genuinely kind to you and it just fills you up full of happiness? That doesn’t happen very often but it truly can happen and really empower or boost someone’s mood for the whole day. Practice being kind to everyone that you meet, whether it’s offering a kind smile as you walk past someone or even just holding a door open for someone as you walk through a door. Being kind is such an amazing trait to have and share with others around you. It can be such a great way in empowering women, or anyone really!
We are all very quick to jump to judgements/compliments of people without knowing the facts or reasoning behind the things that they do. I find myself doing this from time to time but I have learnt to stop and think before making a judgement. I choose to gather as much of the facts I can before I make a judgement and that’s why you need to do to.
When a woman gets angry or upset, don’t blame it on her period. That just trivialises her actual emotions. We can get upset and angry too just like everyone else!!
We need to be empowering women so let’s start today!!
