Nowadays we hear a lot about sustainable living and doing what we can to help the environment and give the future generations the beautiful world that we have been able to experience.Since moving to New Zealand I have made a huge effort to reduce my food wastage, bringing plastic into my home and also using plant based cleaning products rather than really harmful chemicals. But today I’m not here to talk about reducing plastic or using less chemicals within your home. I am going to be talking about Lucky Pads.
What are lucky pads?
A Chinese manufacturer of reusable menstrual cloth pads. All of the cotton fabric used in LUCKYPADS are certified by GOTS, unbleached and undyed, so they are truly chemical-free and great for female body and environment.
My experience with lucky pads
I received luckypads as a gift in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I have used luckypads for two months now and it has truly changed my experience going through that time of the month.
The first thing I noticed while using LuckyPads was how comfortable they were. I know normal pads can be bulky and very noticeable and uncomfortable but you will not have this problem with these super comfy and thin cotton pads.
The only problem I found was that I didn’t have enough to wash, dry and wear throughout the whole week so I needed to switch between reusable and disposable pads so if you are going to buy these pads get around 10-15. I think that will give you enough pads to wash and be able to dry and reuse during the week.
Why you should use lucky pads
– money: although this may be a bit expensive to start with you will save so much money because reusable pads will last you for years as long as you take care of them!
– Huge impact on the environment: it’s be estimated that in America alone almost 20 billion pads are disposed each year. The plastics within these pads takes years to decompose!
These two reasons alone made me realise that reusable pads are for me!
