The benefits of essential oils.

A few months ago I had no idea what essentials oils were and I’m sure a lot of people have no clue what they are so I’ll give a little bit of an explanation. An essential oil is a natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic odour of the plant or other source from which it is extracted. I have been using essential oils for almost two months now and I love them.

I joined an amazing company that sells amazing essential oils. The past few months I have been learning a lot about them and their uses. 

Essential oils have so many benefits so today I am going to tell you some of these.

  • Balance hormones

Essential oils such as lavender, clary sage and sandalwood are perfect for hormone imbalance.  

  • Relieve headaches and migraines

Peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary are some essential oils that can help relieve headaches and migraines.  

  • Promote restful sleep

Many oils have the effect of promoting restful sleep for example lavender, serenity, vetiver and cedarwood. Just to name a few in our product. 

I have been using lavender and I am in love. Having a good sleep always was a problem with me but with rubbing lavender on my wrists, the soles of my feet and on my temples has definitely helped me sleep. Adding a few drops onto my pillow and inhaling deeply also helps with falling asleep. Lavender oil knocks me out in a matter of minutes. 

  • Reduce toxicity

A toxin refers to any substance that causes stress within the body. Lemon essential oil, peppermint and lavender are great detoxifying oils for you. 

Lemon can cleanse your body along with your house. Isn’t that amazing? 

  • Boost energy levels

Lemon, wild orange, peppermint and cinnamon are some of the top essential oils to help boost your energy and get you going when you’re feeling in a slump. 

  • Antibacterial properties

Again for this problem we have a range of essential oils you can use. Melaleuca otherwise known as Tea Tree, grapefruit, oregano and cinnamon are some of the top antibacterial essential oils. 

  •  Improve brain function

Rosemary is the number one oil that improve brain function. Rosemary improves memory and other brain function. Peppermint, lemon, basil and lavender can also improve brain function. 

  • Reduces anxiety

Lavender, citrus oils, serenity, balance and so much more essential oils can help reduce anxiety. 

  • Alleviate aches and pains

Deep blue, peppermint, copaiba and so many other oils can help with pain relief. 

From the list above you can see that essential oils have an array of benefits and can be used for many different problems. They are very versatile. 

You can see this from pain relief, stress, anxiety, sleep, etc. There are many other amazing benefits and above are only a small few of that list. 

Essential oils are an alternative to taking medication.

They are a healthy and safe way used correctly to help with a number of issues. I can’t wait to build up my collection and get rid of the medication I need out of the house.
