The Blogger Recognition Award.

The Blogger Recognition Award
I have been tagged by two lovely ladies for the Blogger Recognition award. The lovely Tammy Stanley who you can follow on Twitter here! tagged me in this award first. Nikki who can follow on Twitter here! Tagged me in this award as well. I’m really lucky and proud that people are reading my little blog and think I am worthy enough of an award.   This is a great way to show love to the blogs that you enjoy reading. It’s a good way to  show them you are recognising the hard work and determination they put into maintaining an amazing blog.

The Rules:

  1. Thank the blogger that nominated you
  2. Write a post to show your award
  3. Give a brief story of how your blog started
  4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  5. Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
  6. Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you have created.

How Forever the Wanderer was created.

As the graduation of my final year in school was fast approaching I was worried. Once I graduated I had two weeks before my exams would start.   For months I had been refusing to go to school much to my mums dismay due to my mental health. School had become a HUGE trigger for my anxiety. To this day I still have no idea why. I get anxious even when I’m picking up my siblings from primary school.

I knew I was not ready for my exams.

But sadly I had to do them so I could say I had completed my Leaving Certificate when I started looking for jobs, etc.   If I wasn’t ready for my exams how the hell would I be ready to start university? The answer was I wasn’t and I’m still not ready.

Stressed was not the word for it.

I thought if I didn’t get a college degree it would mean I was a failure. So I began looking at online courses. This is when I came along a course for how to start a successful blog.   I bought the course impulsively and began watching. Before I found this course I had no idea that blogging could be a form of income. I started doing a ton of research and fell in love with the idea of creating my own blog and sharing my writing with the world.

It was a euphoric moment.

I had found my passion and I began working on it right away. The excitement was unreal. I never thought I would be so excited to start something so new, different and completely out of my comfort zone.   On the 1st of May I officially launched my blog! I have now been blogging for five months and I absolutely love it. Last month I received my first payment for a sponsored post. This was a huge step!

My advice for new bloggers.

Tip number one:

Don’t stress. Write because you love to write not because you feel like you have to. You should enjoy blogging. You started a blog for a reason, remember that reason and you will always love blogging.   Tip number two:   Don’t focus on the numbers. Overtime your blog will grow. It does take time but you will get there with consistency. If you keep your audience up to date they will continue to come back to your blog. You started a blog to share your writing and passions with the world not to get rich fast or receive free products.

  1. Such an interesting background to your blog! I’m sorry that you had to face so much anxiety because of school and education. But I am glad that you find a place where you feel accepted, in the blogging community! Really good tips, its all really centered around doing this for the love rather than the popularity and I completely agree with you. Thank you so much for my tag, I look forward to writing it up!x
