What goes around is a little bit of a thriller, a little bit witchy, a little bit of romance and a whole lost of sass. This book was gifted to me in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alice would have been happy to leave things at that. But when she gets hit where it hurts–her bank account–Alice's game changes. It’s no longer about post-divorce romance. Now it’s about revenge.
What Goes Around is a little bit thriller, a little bit witchy, a little bit romance, and a whole lot of
I literally read this book in three hours. I devoured it in one sitting and really liked this intriguing and unique storyline. So let’s get into my review! I really loved the writing style and descriptions I could see each scene as if I was right there with Alice.
This story begins with our main character Alice travelling to Nanm Paradi to get away from the messy divorce she has just gone through. Starting this story I thought it was going to be a romance novel but quickly changes to a more darker magical theme when she’]s introduced to voodoo.
This plot was very interesting and unique with really vivid imagery. I really wanted to drink all the cocktails and drinks that Jaocb the barman created for Alice.
In What Goes Around I expected a lot more romance but to be fair there was some romance aspects when she meets her love interest Sam who I really liked because he was such a gentleman.
Although this story was very unique, it didn’t really leave an impact on me and these characters are not very rememorable. I can’t really talk about this story/plot in much detail because I would be giving a lot of spoilers away.
Within this story we see a lot of chracter development within our main character Alice. As she comes to terms with the fact that her marraige wasn’t a very happy one and that her husband emotionally abused her throughout. She soon becomes so full of rage which makes her do some questionable things in the name of good ol’ revenge.
She also becomes a stronger woman and becomes more comfortable in her own body which was really empowering to watch because after a divorce a lot of women tend to go downhill but she is determined not to let her shitty ex to ruin the rest of her life.
Final thoughts and emotions
Although this book only received three stars from me I think this is a great summer read if you are looking for something small, light hearted, summer vibes type of story with a little bit of thriller mixed in this book is for you!
