Inspiration is very sought after. Many people suffer from lack of inspiration or writers block or even mental illness. I get it from time to time so I want to go through some things that I do when I’m having a bad day to keep me inspired and get some work done even if I don’t feel very good.
Inspiration can be hard to find when you’re not feeling good. It can be hard to get out of your funk. It sucks. On my bad mental health days I struggle to get out of bed much less open my notebooks or laptop. It’s really difficult to get anything done during those days but I have two things that I do that gives me some inspiration.
Doing things that I love/ My passions
I love my blog,Writing is my passion. So I try and get a little bit of that done to make me feel a little better. Even if it’s just research on how to improve my blog but it can be tough to do this when I just want to curl up in bed and wallow in my depression.
I tend to do that for awhile but then I get myself up and begin blogging.I can’t let my depression win and stop me from making a career for myself. My blog is my passion and I want to make it my career. I will not let my depression win.
Taking a break to sort my head out
When I’m in a mental health slump I struggle to concentrate for long periods of time.I take frequent breaks or finish up my work early and just spend the day relaxing. It’s nice to take a break sometimes. My key rule is you can have low production days not no production days.
It’s better to do a little bit of work rather than do nothing to move you one step closer to your goals!
